Whether your kids are in elementary school or are still in diapers,
there’s a special place for them at Shepherd’s Grove.
At Shepherd’s Grove Children’s Ministry, we ensure your child’s experience is a positive and safe one. During our 9:45 am and 11:00 am services, kindergarten and below are nurtured in our Early Childhood rooms (located in the Jenny Hart Building, across from the Sanctuary), while kids in 1st through 6th Grade learn about Jesus in a safe, fun, hands-on and creative setting in our Children’s Ministry area (see the sign in the Jenny Hart Building for your child’s room).
K & Below / In the Early Childhood rooms, we introduce children to Jesus through care that exemplifies the love of Christ. Through stories, music, and play, we show your kids just how much God cherishes them.
1st-6th Grade / For kids 1st through 6th grade, check your children in prior to service — they will join you in the Sanctuary for the beginning of the worship service then be dismissed to meet their teachers on the patio. We use fun and creativity to communicate the love of Jesus and truth of God’s Word!
This year, we are creating an exciting summer experience where kids can make friends and grow closer to God every Sunday in July at 9:45 & 11 am.
For all off-campus and midweek programs (camp, Beach Club, etc.), please fill out a 2018-2019 IPC/SG Medical Release for your child in case of emergencies.
Forms may be returned by email to Christina Brantuk, mailed, or handed in to the church office.
We are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment, taking care to make sure your child is always cared for by trained, loving volunteers and staff. All childcare events are led by CPR and First Aid certified staff who has also received our Child Abuse Prevention training.
Childcare, including nursery and toddlers, is always provided for Sunday mornings and special worship services. It is also available at special activities by request.
